‘Nothing to See Here’ is a pair of silk screen printed scarves. They offer a new visual language through which to view the Central Australian landscape. Layers of illustration and interpretive mapping increase the interest in and respect for the place by revealing unseen aspects and details of the Central Australian environment.
The accompanying packaging further explores the specific sites that influenced the designs of the scarves and acts as a guide; revealing the flora, fauna and geological features represented in each design.
The scarves challenge common perceptions of these places as uninteresting, unapproachable and barren. The designs increase accessibility, allowing people to begin to interpret these magnificent locations for themselves.
